The  Cradle to Grave 10k starts and finishes at the Cradle of Forestry, located just south of the Blue Ridge Parkway near Sliding Rock. The Cradle to Grave 10k course utilizes part of the existing 30k course and will have you running the Pink Beds Loop Trail past fields of wildflowers and beaver ponds, while crossing creeks on bridges and rocks.  Post-Race meal & entertainment will be provided.

Weather Plan –

We will be monitoring the weather closely. The event will go on rain or shine. In the event of severe thunderstorms and/or very high winds in the immediate course area at the time of the event, we will make the decision to delay the start or cancel. Due to limitations with Forest Service permitting, we do not have a date for rescheduling this year. If we have to cancel the event, participants will be offered a refund minus shirt costs, or they may choose to donate their entry fee to our non profit.

The weather call is not any easy one to make but something we will have to do on race morning.
